Baseball Recap: Mcalester Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

McAlester's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Rattan Rams 6-5. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Buffaloes as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Grant Mullins made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run.

In other batting news, Jaxon McKinney was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

McAlester's win bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Rattan, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.

Looking ahead, McAlester will venture away from home to square off against Tushka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rattan, they will welcome Caddo at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
