Basketball Recap: Constitution Comes Up Short

On Sunday, the Constitution Generals came up short against Friends Select and fell 72-59.

When it comes to explaining why Constitution lost, don't look at Alantay Dawson. Despite the final result, he went 10 of 17 on his way to 22 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Khaleek Johnson, who posted eight points.

Constitution now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Friends Select, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-3.

Constitution will face off against West Philadelphia at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Constitution knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully West Philadelphia likes a good challenge. As for Friends Select, they will square off against Shipley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Friends Select is facing Shipley at the right time seeing as Shipley is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
