Queen Creek is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Mountain Ridge, who was ranked 12th at the time (Queen Creek was ranked fourth). The Bulldogs blew past the Mountain Lions 21-4 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Queen Creek got a great performance from Aubrey Chavez as she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Chavez has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Tayla Falquez was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Charli Dixon was another key player, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Queen Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Williams Field was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They lost 16-1 to Queen Creek.
Williams Field saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Petranek, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Queen Creek pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Williams Field, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13-1 record this season.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Queen Creek hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .388. However, it's not like Williams Field struggles in that department as they've averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
