            Baseball Recap: Clark Cougars vs. LEE Volunteers        
        
		
        
        
            While Clark's  victory against LEE wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Clark Cougars skirted past the LEE Volunteers  8-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  11-0  last Tuesday.

 Jake Ramirez
 Angel Tamayo and  Jake Ramirez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Tamayo   tossed four innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. Meanwhile,  Ramirez   didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched. He also  tossed  no  walks, which is notable because Clark is undefeated when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 4-7 otherwise. At bat,  Tamayo  went 1-for-4 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run, while  Ramirez  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  Tamayo has posted  over his last 12  games.
 In other batting news,  Jerry Brightwell was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.  Aaron Kish also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
 Clark  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as LEE struck out seven times.
The  win  got Clark back to even at 7-7. As for LEE,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-8-1.
 Looking ahead, Clark will head out to  challenge Churchill  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for LEE, they will take on Brandeis at 7:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Brandeis' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3  runs per game  this season, so LEE's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
