Softball Recap: Roosevelt Gets the Win

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Roosevelt ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They skirted past the Blake Bears 13-12. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Teddies considering their two-run performance the match before.

Sydney Erickson was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Brooklyn Erickson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double.

Roosevelt always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Blake, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Roosevelt will venture away from home to take on Apple Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blake, they will welcome Mounds Park Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
