Chester extended their winning streak to six on Monday, bumping them up to 6-1. They strolled past the Gayville-Volin Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 54-38. The Flyers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gayville-Volin fell to 5-1. The contest marked their lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Gayville-Volin's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maia Achen, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Achen's third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Hoxeng, who posted ten points and three steals.

Coming up, Chester will face off against Beresford at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gayville-Volin, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Centerville at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
