Baseball Recap: Kanab Victorious

Kanab won the last time they faced Enterprise and things went their way on Tuesday too. Kanab came out on top in a nail-biter against Enterprise, sneaking past 3-1. That's two games straight that the Cowboys have won by exactly two runs.

Walker Baird spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Kanon Virostko was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 12 contests. Kash Kabonic was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for Kanab and bumps their season record up to 8-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Enterprise, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season.

Kanab will have a chance to go back-to-back against Enterprise: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
