Basketball Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

Northwestern had lost 25 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped down to 1-22 to make it 26. They were dealt a 69-15 loss at the hands of the Crestview Rebels. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-8.

Makenna Connelly was Northwestern's leading scorer, having posted four points. Shiloh McConahay held things down on the boards with four rebounds. Savannah McConahay took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

As for Crestview, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.3 points.

Addison Rhodes produced another solid effort putting up 32 points and seven boards. That makes it 23 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Crestview's points. Another player making a difference was Brianna Baker, who posted 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals.

Northwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crestview, they will challenge Collinwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
