Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Poteet). They skirted past the Mathis Pirates 14-13. The high-scoring effort was just what the Aggies needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Poteet's victory bumped their record up to 7-9-1. As for Mathis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Poteet is taking a road trip to challenge Cole at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Poteet's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Mathis, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 defeat against San Diego on the 12th.
