Baseball Game Preview: Waukesha West Wolverines vs. Kettle Moraine Lasers

The Waukesha West Wolverines will take on the Kettle Moraine Lasers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Waukesha West nor Kettle Moraine posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Thursday, Waukesha West didn't have quite enough to beat Waukesha North and fell 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wolverines have suffered against the Northstars since May 23, 2022.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Kettle Moraine's offense. They fell 5-0 to Muskego on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lasers in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Waukesha West has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Kettle Moraine, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Waukesha West was able to grind out a solid victory over Kettle Moraine in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 8-3. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Lasers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
