Volleyball Recap: Eaglecrest Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Eaglecrest came tearing into Saturday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over The Vanguard School Coursers.

Eaglecrest easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13.

Jackson Shaw paced Eaglecrest's offense, picking up six kills. Shaw got some help from Will George and his 20 assists. Shaw was also solid from the service line: he led the team with eight aces.

Eaglecrest pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for The Vanguard School, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Coincidentally, Eaglecrest and The Vanguard School will both be playing Regis Jesuit the next time they take the court. The Raptors will head out to face the Raiders at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Coursers will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
