The Lago Vista Vikings will head out to square off against the Eastside Early College Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lago Vista is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
Eastside Early College's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Lago Vista hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. Lago Vista was the clear victors by a 21-0 margin over Northeast Early College on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Winter Callahan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off three home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Lago Vista got a massive performance out of Brynlea Cox, who scored three runs and stole Five bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Those five stolen bases gave Cox a new career-high. Sydney Mosser was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one triple.
Lago Vista kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.6.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, Eastside Early College was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 17-0 to Manor New Tech. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.
Lago Vista pushed their record up to 7-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13.2 runs. As for Eastside Early College, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Lago Vista has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Eastside Early College struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
