Softball Recap: Kiefer Beats Keys for Their Third Straight Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kiefer had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They never let the Keys Cougars get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Not much got past Sienna Renz, who gave up just a hit and racked up 17 Ks to keep Keys off the board. Renz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kynlee DiLibero was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Kiefer hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.

Kiefer's win bumped their record up to 31-6. As for Keys, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-11.

As of now, neither Kiefer nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
