Baseball Recap: Carthage Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Carthage's offense. They came up short against the Aurora Houn Dawgs on Saturday, falling 6-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Houn Dawgs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Carthage's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Aurora, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.

Coming up, Carthage will square off against Blue Valley Northwest at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Huskies' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Aurora, they will head out to take on Hollister at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
