Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carson). They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Gardena Panthers on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-1 last Wednesday.

Andruw Jacques looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Nate Ruan was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. Fernando Barajas was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Carson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gardena only posted a batting average of .235.

The win was the fifth in a row for Carson, bringing their record up to 6-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Gardena, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Carson has already played their next matchup, a 13-2 win against Taft on the 5th. As for Gardena, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 22-10 defeat against Arleta on the 5th.
