Volleyball Recap: Choctawhatchee Takes a Loss

Choctawhatchee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Beachside Barracudas. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Barracudas apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Choctawhatchee sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 24-26, 25-23, 21-25, 15-9.

Choctawhatchee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Beachside, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.

Coming up, Choctawhatchee will head out to take on Gulf Breeze at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beachside, they will take on Spruce Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Barracudas are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
