Baseball Recap: Arizona College Prep Comes Up Short

Arizona College Prep and Lake Havasu squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Arizona College Prep had to settle for second. They fell just short of Lake Havasu by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Arizona College Prep has lost by just one run.

Clayton Nachman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Arizona College Prep is 5-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 10-11 otherwise.

Arizona College Prep's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Lake Havasu, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

Arizona College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Havasu, they have already played their next game, a 14-4 defeat against Catalina Foothills on the 3rd.
