Manteo has gone a perfect 10-0 against Northeastern recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Redskins will venture away from home to take on the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Manteo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.1 goals per game this season.

Manteo had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the nine-goal drubbing they dealt Pasquotank County last Wednesday. The Redskins' defense stepped up to hand the Panthers a 9-0 shutout. Jordan Cobb was a massive factor in the win as she booted in five goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Northeastern didn't have quite enough to beat Currituck County last Thursday and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, Northeastern can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 357th, while Currituck County are ranked 158th).

Northeastern's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-10-1. As for Manteo, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Everything went Manteo's way against Northeastern in their previous matchup back in March, as Manteo made off with an 11-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redskins since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
