Preview: Colusa vs. Redding Christian
Colusa is 5-0 against Redding Christian since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Colusa RedHawks will head out on the road to take on the Redding Christian Lions at 3:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.
In what's become a running theme this season, Colusa gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Los Molinos a 8-0 shutout. Jesse Medina was a massive factor in the win, as he booted in three goals all by himself.
Meanwhile, Redding Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Paradise. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
The victory made it two in a row for Colusa and bumps their season record up to 8-9-3. As for Redding Christian, they now have a winning record of 8-7-3.
Colusa skirted past Redding Christian 1-0 in their previous meeting back in February of 2020. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colusa since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
