Softball Recap: Mayfield Find Success

It was a proper cat-fight when Mayfield challenged Twinsburg on Wednesday. The Mayfield Wildcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Twinsburg Tigers, sneaking past 4-2. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly two runs.

Mayfield saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Garrett, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Mayfield and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Twinsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Mayfield will challenge United at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Twinsburg, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Holy Name at 11:00 a.m.
