Basketball Recap: Valley Torah Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and Valley Torah had no trouble coming through when it counted. They secured a 66-60 W over the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolfpack.

Several Rangers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chris Jones, who went 6-for-13 en route to 18 points and six assists. Jones' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Austyn Hopkins, who posted 19 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Valley Torah's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Santa Rosa Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 18-10.

Looking ahead, Valley Torah will face off against Big Bear at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Big Bear will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something Valley Torah surely won't give up without a fight. Santa Rosa Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
