Baseball Preview: Emmett Huskies vs. Caldwell Cougars

The Emmett Huskies will head out on the road to take on the Caldwell Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Emmett will be strutting in after a win while Caldwell will be coming in after a defeat.

Emmett is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 16-7 margin over Nampa on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

On the hitting side, Casey Coburn was a standout: he scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Owen Moss made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Eric Kammerman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Emmett, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.
