Volleyball Game Preview: Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan vs. Marmion Cadets

For the first time this season, Chicago Mt. Carmel will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to square off against the Marmion Cadets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chicago Mt. Carmel will be strutting in after a victory while Marmion will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Chicago Mt. Carmel was able to grind out a solid win over Saint Ignatius College Prep, taking the game 2-0.

Chicago Mt. Carmel easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Marmion unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Geneva.

Marmion was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-16.

Marmion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Chicago Mt. Carmel, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
