Soccer Recap: McFarland Comes Up Short

After flying high against Monroe on Thursday, McFarland came back down to earth. The Spartans fell just short of the Waunakee Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. McFarland were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Waunakee apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

McFarland has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season. As for Waunakee, their record is now 9-7.

Coming up, McFarland will venture away from home to take on Mount Horeb at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waunakee, they will welcome Watertown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
