Volleyball Recap: Redington Comes Up Short

Redington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Valdez Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 last Friday.

Redington may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 16 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-16.

Redington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Valdez, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Coincidentally, Redington and Valdez will both be playing Barrow the next time they take the court. The Huskies will host the Whalers at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Buccaneers will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
