Basketball Recap: Logan Rice Key Part of Team Effort in Bearcats Win

After losing to Salome the last time they met, Ray decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bearcats were the clear victors by a 51-30 margin over the Frogs on Friday. The Bearcats pushed the score to 46-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Frogs cut but never quite recovered from.

Ray's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Logan Rice led the charge by dropping a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Seth Wade, who went 6-for-14 to rack up 14 points and three steals.

Ray's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Salome, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Ray and Valley Union will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Salome, they will head out to face off against Antelope at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Frogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
