Rodrevious Bailey Turns in Season-Best Effort

Sadly, Rodrevious Bailey posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Lafayette County over Gurdon on Friday. Bailey rushed for 229 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 49 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Lafayette County now has a losing record at 2-3. Bailey and Lafayette County will challenge Spring Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Laster Posts Huge Game in 39-36 Win

Gurdon took down Lafayette County on Friday, a win that might not have happened without Xavier Laster's standout effort. Laster was unstoppable, rushing for 103 yards on only 13 carries, while also catching a touchdown.

This season, Laster has averaged 111.8 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after four games last season, he was only averaging 69.75 rushing yards per game.
