Softball Recap: Nelson County Comes Up Short

Nelson County lost to Stuarts Draft back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Governors fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Governors have suffered since May 2, 2025.

Nelson County's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Stuarts Draft, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nelson County will welcome Dan River at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Stuarts Draft, they will be playing at home against Rockbridge County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
