Football Recap: Robert Evans Key Part of Team Effort in Roadrunners Win + How To Watch

Rosamond lost to Kern Valley back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Roadrunners walked away with a 30-21 victory over the Broncs. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Rosamond got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Robert Evans out in front who rushed for 226 yards and one TD. Those 226 rushing yards gave Evans a new career-high. Isreal Valero was in the mix too, providing Rosamond with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Rosamond was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 284 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Rosamond didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Kenneth Iannalfo.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Kern Valley, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Evans and Andrew Gartica. Meanwhile, Kern Valley will face off against rival California City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
