Softball Recap: McGavock Raiders vs. Hume-Fogg Blue Knights

McGavock's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 14-2 margin over the Hume-Fogg Blue Knights. With that victory, the Raiders brought their scoring average up to 7.4 runs per game.

Amanda Toth made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single hit, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, McGavock let Riley Phillips and Makenzie Kilby run wild. Phillips scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3, while Kilby scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-1.
