Softball Recap: Andrean's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Andrean fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Munster on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 7-6. The Fighting 59ers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Maggie Voliva and Micah Snider stepped up to the plate in a big way. Voliva scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Snider scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Snider is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Andrean's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2. As for Munster, their record is now 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Andrean will welcome Lowell at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Munster, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beecher at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
