Softball Recap: Clifton Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Clifton and Passaic County Tech had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Mustangs fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-2 on Monday. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Sydney Reeb spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Clifton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrea Cedeno, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Clifton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Passaic County Tech, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Clifton is set to square off against their familiar foe Passaic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Passaic County Tech will face off against rival Kennedy at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
