Volleyball Recap: Stagg Extends Winning Streak to Six

Stagg had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

The victory didn't come easy: Homewood-Flossmoor scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18.

Tulal Johjah paced Stagg's offense, picking up six kills. JohJah got some help from Dennis Tocila and his 20 assists.

Stagg's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they moved to 22-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Stagg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Oak Lawn on the 7th. As for Homewood-Flossmoor, they will host Lincoln-Way Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Vikings have won eight straight at home, while the Knights won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
