Monroe Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 60-50 win over the Sparta Academy Warriors. The Volunteers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

When it comes to explaining why Sparta Academy lost, don't look at Jakarie Cheatham. Despite the final result, he picked up 143 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Koltin Barlow, who threw for 377 yards and four TDs while picking up 15.7 yards per attempt.

Monroe Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Sparta Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
