Basketball Game Preview: Forest Park Bruins vs. Hylton Bulldogs

The Forest Park Bruins will head out on the road to take on the Hylton Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-20, which was the final score in Forest Park's tilt against Potomac Senior on Friday. The Bruins have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Hylton had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Mountain View with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 41-27.

Hylton's win came from a few key players Forest Park will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Raegan Cathcart, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aysia Gholston, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Forest Park's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Hylton, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12.

Forest Park couldn't quite finish off Hylton in their previous meeting back in January and fell 36-34. Can Forest Park avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
