Basketball Game Preview: Willis Wildkats vs. Conroe Tigers

Willis is 2-8 against Conroe since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Willis Wildkats will welcome the Conroe Tigers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Willis' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

On Tuesday, Willis took their matchup with ease, bagging a 74-32 victory over New Caney. The Wildkats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Conroe, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Grand Oaks 45-43. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Tigers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 639th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 86th).

Willis is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points per game. As for Conroe, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-16.
