Recap: Lafayette Central Catholic Knights vs. Harrison Raiders
The Lafayette Central Catholic Knights lost against the Harrison Raiders back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Lafayette Central Catholic took a hard 57-42 fall against Harrison.
Lafayette Central Catholic lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ray Clayton, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Page, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Harrison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carson Cain led the charge by scoring 11 points along with three steals. It was the first time this season that Cain grabbed two or more steals. Malachi King was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Lafayette Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Harrison, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
Lafayette Central Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Faith Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lafayette Central Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday. As for Harrison, they will head out on the road to take on Westfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westfield is coming into the matchup with eight straight losses at home, so Harrison is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
