Football Recap: Jay Shuff's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Central Hinds Academy over Shaw

If Central Hinds Academy was feeling good fresh off their 27-7 takedown of Carroll Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars took a 23-6 bruising from the Shaw Warriors on Friday.

Central Hinds Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jay Shuff, who rushed for 90 yards and one score, and also threw for 90 yards and a pair of TDs.

Central Hinds Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Central Hinds Academy will be playing at home against North Delta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shaw, they will head out on the road to face off against Leland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
