Softball Recap: Curtis Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Curtis finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bonney Lake Panthers, falling 11-0. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.

Curtis saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Foster, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Curtis has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Bonney Lake, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Curtis will welcome Yelm at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Tornados have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bonney Lake, they will be playing at home against Emerald Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
