Softball Recap: Charlestown Comes Up Short

Charlestown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 14-11 to the Tech Boston Academy/Academy of Public Service Bears. The Townies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 11-5.

Charlestown's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Tech Boston Academy/Academy of Public Service, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4.

Coming up, Charlestown will take on New Mission at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tech Boston Academy/Academy of Public Service, they will square off against Boston English at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season.
