Basketball Recap: Potter Valley Comes Up Short

Potter Valley lost against Valley Christian back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bearcats were beaten by the Lions 67-24. The matchup marked the Bearcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Johnnie Phillips was Potter Valley's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Phillips also led the team in rebounds with nine.

Valley Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Josh Becker, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jackson Barna, who posted six points along with eight boards and six steals.

Potter Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Valley Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Potter Valley will take on Point Arena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley Christian, they will square off against Sacramento Waldorf at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
