Baseball Recap: Danville Takes a Loss

Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-3 to the Bloomington Purple Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Purple Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Monday.

Danville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marvin Davis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That hit was Davis' first of the season.

Danville's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bloomington, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Danville has already played their next matchup (against Rantoul), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bloomington, they will take on Peoria Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
