Arcadia dropped down to 11-2 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Blair-Taylor Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The Raiders were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Wildcats' pitchers proved too tough.

As for Blair-Taylor, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games.

For Blair-Taylor's part, Andrea Aleckson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. Aleckson has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Blair-Taylor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andi Beck, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

Looking ahead, Arcadia will square off against Altoona on Saturday. As for Blair-Taylor, they will take on Stratford at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
