Volleyball Recap: Legacy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Port St. Lucie on Tuesday, Legacy came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the Viera Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Lyla Barker-Bray paced Legacy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Barker-Bray got some help from Meredith Prince and her 27 assists. Bailey Johanson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Viera was led to victory by Libby Williams and Allie Brown. Williams had ten assists and seven digs, while Brown had 12 assists and two aces. Shaylee Wreggit also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Viera, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13.

Legacy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Citrus on the 3rd. As for Viera, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Lyman on the 3rd.
