Basketball Recap: Dennis Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mcnair over Jasper County

McNair lost against Jasper County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The McNair Mustangs took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jasper County Hurricanes. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dennis Johnson, who went 5 of 7 to rack up 11 points. What's more, Johnson also posted a 71% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Kamari Reynolds was another key player, going 5 for 6 en route to 10 points and eight rebounds.

McNair's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Jasper County, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season.

McNair has already played their next matchup, an 82-39 defeat against Greenforest on the 6th. Jasper County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
