Baseball Game Preview: Center Point Pirates vs. Mason Punchers

Center Point hasn't had much luck against Mason recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Center Point will be playing in front of their home fans against Mason at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Center Point is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Goldthwaite, falling 14-1.

Center Point saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesse Segura, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Mason lost 8-1 to Johnson City on Tuesday. The Punchers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Center Point's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Mason, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Center Point suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Mason in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Center Point avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
