Baseball Recap: Helix Highlanders vs. Westview Wolverines
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Helix had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Westview Wolverines 4-2. The victory was nothing new for Helix as they're now sitting on three straight.
Gehrig Syms was incredible, going 3-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Walker Laub, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
On Westview's side, Sam Tellers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs while going 4-for-4.
Helix's win bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Westview, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-17.
