Football Recap: Diamond Ranch Falls Despite Big Games from Roman Garcia and Isaiah Salinas + How To Watch

Diamond Ranch extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They fell 33-20 to the Alta Loma Braves. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 527th, while the Braves are ranked 261st).

Despite the loss, Diamond Ranch had strong showings from Isaiah Salinas, who threw for 231 yards and a pair of TDs, and Roman Garcia, who picked up 135 receiving yards and two scores. Garcia showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 68 yards.

As for Alta Loma, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 26 points in those games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alta Loma to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maximus Fierro, who threw for 183 yards and four touchdowns. Those four passing touchdowns gave Fierro a new career-high. Alta Loma's leading receiver Bryant Avila was Fierro's top target yet again, picking up 76 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Alta Loma is set to challenge their familiar foe Northview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Fierro and Robert Lucero.
