Softball Game Preview: Serrano Diamondbacks vs. Hesperia Scorpions

Serrano is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will be playing at home against the Hesperia Scorpions at 3:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Serrano came up short against Citrus Valley on Friday, falling 16-1. The Diamondbacks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Serrano saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cody Ramirez, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Carlie Moore, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Hesperia lost 16-2 to Silverado on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Scorpions in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost five in a row.

Hesperia's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Serrano, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Everything went Serrano's way against Hesperia in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Serrano made off with a 14-4 victory. Does Serrano have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hesperia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
