Volleyball Recap: Yarmouth Falls Short Against Ranked Washington Academy

Yarmouth faced Washington Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Clippers lost 3-0 to the Raiders. The Clippers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-19, 25-19.

Grace Keaney paced Yarmouth's offense, picking up six kills. Keaney got some help from Sutton Yi and her 12 assists. Avery Mitchell controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Yarmouth's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Washington Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yarmouth will take on Wells at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Ellsworth at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
